Nurse Practitioner

 Kate has been a nurse since leaving school and says it was a natural career progression to complete her post-graduate study to become a Nurse Practitioner.

Born in Dunedin, Kate has lived at Waikoikoi since 1997 on her family sheep, beef and grain farm.

She worked at Gore Health between 2013 and 2019, becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2016. She then spent six years working in small rural practices including rural pre-hospital emergency care, in Roxburgh, Wanaka, Twizel, and Tapanui. Now she’s delighted to be closer to home and working with a large team at Gore Health as Nurse Practitioner, where she’s been since 2024.

Kate’s favourite place in Gore is at a nice café with family, friends and a great hot beverage.
