Dr Karl Erath

Dr Karl-Hans Erath: GP MBChB, FRNZCGP

Dr Erath comes from a small, rural town in Southern Germany, close to the Swiss border.

He studied in what was West Berlin and completed his Postgraduate study in the UK. He continued his medical career working in the oil industry Georgia and Kazakhstan, returning to Scotland to work in the Emergency Department and as a GP in Orkney. Then it was off to Central Asia and far East Russia to run expat medical clinics before going to Western Australia.

Dr Erath arrived in NZ in 2017 and in Gore shortly afterwards, where he has found, what he calls, a very nice place to live and work.  He has no pets although he loves dogs, and his favourite place in Gore is East Peak on a nice evening.
